Police and Crime Panel

- Virtual meeting

Merseyside's Police Commissioner is today meeting with the Police and Crime Panel, the body which scrutinises her work.

Jane Kennedy meets six times a year with the Panel. They support the Commissioner in her work, while holding responsibility for overseeing her work and making sure she is holding the Chief Constable to account.

This is the fourth meeting of the 2020/21 financial year.

On the agenda for discussion are the PCC's Police and Crime Plan priority of tackling serious and organised crime, an update on the Medium Term Financial Strategy, and the funding the PCC allocates to community safety.

Jane will also give an update on her Crime Prevention Fund.

Police and Crime Panel meetings are always open to the public. However, due to the current government restrictions on meetings in light of the coronavirus pandemic, this meeting will be held virtually.

If you would like to observe proceedings, please visit theĀ Knowsley Council YouTube channel.

The papers for this meeting are always published five days ahead of this meeting and can be found by going to the Police and Crime Panel section on theĀ Knowsley Council website.
