Force Inspection meeting

- Virtual meeting

The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for holding the Chief Constable to account for maintaining an efficient and effective police service in Merseyside.

One of the ways the PCC undertakes this role, is through Force Inspection meetings.

These meetings consider performance against the priorities identified in the Police and Crime Plan as well as a wide range of performance information relating to all aspect of policing.

The next Force Inspection (previously known as the Performance and Scrutiny Group meeting) will be held by the Police Commissioner today.

This meeting is chaired by the Commissioner, Jane Kennedy, and attended by Chief Officers. The primary objective is to monitor the Force’s performance management arrangements, and consequently progress against the Police and Crime Plan.

The agenda and papers for this meeting are always provided five working days before the meeting.

You can find all these papers here Force Inspections.

This page also contains the papers from previous meetings and more details about how this meeting works.

Please note, while this meeting is usually open to the public to attend, due to the current restrictions on people's movements as a result of the global Coronavirus pandemic this meeting will be held remotely.
