Our Victims Needs Assessment (VNA) was designed to review the existing services offered to victims and improve the services on offer to help people cope and recover after a crime.
The VNA was first carried out in 2014 to inform the creation of the Victim Care Merseyside service.
At the centre of this process were the views of victims and survivors, with surveys and focus groups being held to gather their opinions. The views of service providers were also gathered through a series of workshops.
This process was repeated in 2017 to ensure we were still commissioning the services most needed by victims.
